Communications Specialist Abuja, Nigeria | Onsite | Full-Time | ₦800,000 monthly Our client in the NGO sector is hiring a Communications Specialist to own how the organisation is seen, heard, and understood. You will run the content, the media relationships, and the campaigns rather than execute someone else's brief. This is a visible role with direct access to leadership and room to shape the communications function from the ground up. What You Will Do . Build and run the content calendar across LinkedIn, Instagram, and X, publishing consistently and growing engaged followers quarter over quarter . Write and edit external communications, including press releases, newsletters, case studies, reports, and website copy . Produce visual and video content, including graphics, short-form video, and AI-generated video, turning organisational work into content people actually watch and share . Pitch and place stories with Nigerian business, policy, and technology media, building working relationships with at least 10 relevant journalists and editors in your first six months . Prepare presentations, speaking notes, and decks for leadership, and represent the organisation at events, partner meetings, and industry gatherings in Abuja. . Manage communication with partners, clients, and stakeholders, keeping messaging consistent across every channel and audience Must-Have: - At least 3 years of experience in communications, public relations, content marketing, or a closely related role - Storytelling, research, media relations, digital communication and stakeholder engagement skills.  - A portfolio you can share, containing published writing, campaigns, or content you personally produced - Hands-on experience running organisational social media accounts and creating graphics and video, including AI-generated short videos  - Experience pitching or securing media coverage, or managing communication with external partners and stakeholders - Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and communicate effectively with diverse audiences. - Based in Abuja or ready to relocate before your start date, working onsite five days a week Application instructions ➡️ 1.
